4 years ago today.
This was me.
Loving to be pregnant.
so anxious to meet our first child.
and then with a flash she was here and it was her first birthday.
She loved to dance and sing.
eat sand.
She was already a Daddy's girl.
and then entered this 2 year old girl.
No longer a baby, but now a shining toddler.
And she never was terrible in her two's.
She was a pleaser, a big sister and had a best friend Megan.
and before we knew it, she was celebrating her 3rd birthday.
Really?
So independent now.
Full of life.
Entered the princess stage.
Loved mangoes, waffles and hot dogs.
and tonight she will blow out her candles and be 4.
She loves puzzles, coloring, and anything with rhinestones.
She is a wise, old, beautiful soul.
All she wants for her birthday is her Daddy.
The best I can do is ice cream and roller skating with friends.
Happy birthday sweet Olivia.
You will always be our little girl.

joint accounts.
Being that I was logging into a pre-Michelle account, this security question was totally geared towards him.
What was your high school mascot?
My first thought was ~are you serious? It's too early in the morning for this.~
But, to me, this was not just a security question as it was a how much I know my husband test.
I starred at the computer keys for a bit and then slowly typed in the animal.
With one eye squinted I waited for the next screen pop up and ..... I got it right.
Hot damn.
I think today may be a lucky one.

what daddy looks like.
Made this little picture for the Daddy of the house.
The man that will drop whatever he is doing to play with the kids.
Asks them if they want dog food for dinner just to hear them giggle.
Loves taking them for rides in his jeep.
The dad that taught Olivia to say "mmm that smells like roses" when he passes gas.
and the dad that "kicks over the sun each day when he is done with it where he is on that big boat"
We love you Anthony.
Happy Fathers day.

mail love.
or is it.
After being out this morning with the kids I come home and check the mail.
Normal procedure.
I love mail.
You never know what's going to be in there.
Good coupons.
cards.
handwritten letters from the middle east.
The last option is a rarity.
He is more of an email man.
but I got one today and couldn't open it fast enough.
my heart raced wondering what was sweet enough to send in letter form.
only to find the above advertisement.
hmmm.
He dropped the hammer.
I immediately get all tense and feel as though a goal has been presented.
I have long talked about doing a triathlon.
talked not the walked; or should I saw swim, bike, run.
Maybe its time for a little follow through on this one.
He always knows just how to push me.
Break a fear.
But lets be honest...
eeks, it makes me scared, real scared.

CARRIER
compartmentalize.
That's what our husbands our taught in the military.
By doing this it makes the separation of at home life and at work life easier to handle.
Subconsciously, I do it too.
By keeping busy, sometimes to busy.
Not watching the news.
Throwing myself into a project.
Whatever works at the time.
But this touching, real life series that PBS has put together touches my heart.
Especially now when my husband is doing and living everything shown.
It makes it so real.
When it first aired back in April I could not bring myself to watch it.
Now I think I am ready.

pink and glittery graduation.
Today was Olivia's pre Preschool graduation.
She wore a pastel yellow dress that she knows is my favorite.
She looked all grown up.
She walked proud.
She showed through her smile that she wished her daddy was there.
She has learned all kinds of new tricks, as we call them.
She has a boy best friend named Dylan.
She is little miss social.
She plays with her friends and then runs and gives me updates all this time.
She needs me just a little less than she used to.
She will always be my little girl though.
She makes me so proud to be her mommy.

feel the aloha.
Finally something crafty right.
The hiatus is over for now.
Made this little guy to keep track of the daily happenings on our trip to Maui.
In a perfect world I would have finished it day by day.
So not the case, but I took notes.
Used lots of goodies from JLMS where I am now a designer.
Freeing it is to pick out goodies from her shop and then just create.
plain and simple.

i'll be damned.
and everyone is all against this man's "connection".
but not me.
He is the clear cut winner in this go around.
i'll bet some scrappy stuff on it.
Color me naive too.
Trusting is a way of life in Hawaii and we definitely carried that back to the mainland with us.
My eyes are opened today.
One sneaky weasel has been using my CC for online charges!!!!
errr...the nerve of some people.
But to end the day on a good note.
Its Kids eat free night at Denny's and I will be there.
If you have kids, you too might think this is pretty cool.
Rocket ship cups, alien face pancakes and all.

i am a happy camper.
Pull out the marshmallows for this one.
I like mine lightly toasted, just enough to get a nice caramel color and crunch.
I adore the kits this woman puts together.
and this month I am lucky enough to be a guest designer for this little beauty.
Dust off the scrappy table, because Mama's getting her camp style on and making some goodies.
and Aradd's bd card.
and JLMS projects too.
Much fun.
