CHicago was full of fun times for sure.

i must say though it took me a bit to get out of mommy mode, but once i did i had a ball.

i guess thats what happens as a mommy to 2 toddlers huh?

while out picking up a few last things before i leave, i found this bad boy at my new favorite thrift store.
metal, ocean blue, hot to trot and a mere 7 dollars.
i actually second guessed spending that much at a thrift store because of my money spending mentality.

oh yes...great news here!!!!
i can not even begin to tell you how much fun i have been having with the delicious RDG papers spread all over my table.
i would reach for one and then change my mind again and again.
the colors just flew through my brain like i was channeling my inner Rainbow Brite!!!

and i am far from Hawaii, really about as far as one can get while staying in the US, but this made me feel like i was back there for a split second.

Hope everyone had a fun July 4th.
pretty laid back one here but got me to thinking about a 4th party we had a few years back when Olivia was 2 weeks old.
what were we thinking hosting a party with a newborn, but man..it was good!!


also wanted to say thanks to those of you who gave such sweet words on my last post.
I should have really deleted it, but hence, it was one of those days.
back to normal now and working on a secret project.

today ,i wish we could spend more time with these two precious nieces this summer.

today, i got a package of CJ's from Michelle Guray that made me smile. i am gonna work on one as soon as i get the minute.
today, i wish the kids and i could be back at sprinkles to enjoy a little something sweet.

today, i know that shopping at this store would thrill me, as i know it always does. today, i am craving pizza from Pacific Pizza. Quite possibly the best pizza on earth.today, i am missing my friends from Kauai and the sunshine. today, i am not perfect.
today, i want a date with my husband, just the 2 of us.
today, i kinda wanna cry.
i think the huge changes in our life are finally kicking in.
tomorrow i will be back in the swing of things i'm sure.

universal was a blast.

today fun= meeting Kah mei at great american scrap convention and getting loads of new Fontwerks goodies. i was a total nerd meeting her because i was freaking about seeing Laura Kurz and Kristina contes layouts in person. GEEk.
got some stellar deals on a few things and some Sonic afterwards...yummy all the way around.
Had to call Jamie about the FW and then heidi called and WE ARE MEETING UP!!!
ahhh. how cool is that?

taking a quick breather to let everyone know we are alive a kicking.
things have been super crazy since our house was packed.

vacationed for a week.
said goodbyes to hawaii friends.
took a red eye.
visited with family in Bakersfield.
picked up Anthonys jeep.
and our going to Universal studios in the morning.

we are beat but having loads of fun.
my sisters says a crash is coming soon...i may have to agree.
thank goodness for caffeine huh?

will be sure to catch up more on things soon.
will be in Dallas for almost a week and have a bunch more fun stuff planned.

i was able to sneak away from a house full of moving schtuff for a bit and here i am.
wanted to

*check in at SIS
*catch myself up on blog action before a week without computer time.
*do change of address on a bunch of stuff.
*veg out a bit.

so sad to be leaving this island.
this is the first place we have lived where it really felt like home to us.
i just have to remember and hold on to the fact that we will be moving back again someday.

i have chills all over because of this extreme act of kindness.

I can not even find words to say how cool the world of scrapbooking is.
and what a small world it is.

it also brought the new mrs. lieu and I together.
love her and Mike and can't wait to spend much more time with them when we move to California!!
