me. weird?

of course we all have some weird things about us.
i was tagged by happy girl to list some of my weirdness.
6 to be exact.
*1 so my first...the picture above.
yes it is Lionel Richie and i am a huge fan.
Like crying at his concert when he came out on stage kinda fan.

*you can stamp nerd on my head now without reading on any further.*

*2 after being introduced to press on french manicure toenails, I have been hooked.
these things are perfect for people like me with kiddies running around all the time.
not as much pamper time is in my schedule these days.

*3 i hide my phone when the kids are napping.
no loud ring= quiet mommy time= happy mommy.
the bad thing is i always forget to charge it back up and then miss when people are trying to reach me....oops.

*4 i still like to watch Real World
ok really. it was cool years ago when i was younger but now?
gulity pleasure i guess.

*5 i believe that most foods are better with cheese.
love it so.

soups
almost everything.

*6 i pick my husband like a mother monkey.

i have been really wanting to use this coaster book from last months Poppy ink kit.
so i ran with that bad little thing and am happy with the outcome. This was something i never would have done, so i love that Shimelle came up with the idea!

so this weekend was filled with those kinda moments. My husband had one while hiking at Waimea Canyon and made it out to this sight. ahhh, what bliss and he said the pictures did the beauty no justice. I see rigged cliff, green beauty for sure.
and then this... Olivia is at the age of starting to fight naps and boo for that. When she was over resting/ playing in her room, she brought her life size Diego out. Hello? He's a boy and he has a dress on. She thought he needed it. and under the dress? oh not only a diaper but also a huge amount of Desitin. Yikes. that stuff is serious rash cream that does not come off even in the wash. Oh, so it goes and i laughed it off. How could i get upset? She was a proud mama.

and in a huge MIRACLE moment. seriously.
Anthony took the kids for the morning to the beach so I could have some down time alone. So sweet yes. But then i get a phone call.
"honey"
yes.
"uh"
"i left our ipod boom box and your wallet on the hitch of the car when i drove off."
(Mind you this is a 20 minute drive later)
you did what?!?
"yeah, but your wallet is still here!"
HOLY SH*$! how in the world my wallet stayed on that hitch is beyond me.
"me too."
so i thanked my lucky stars and my aunt who i believe is my angel for being able to have my wallet today.
whew.

so i really felt the need to go back to my favorite picture backdrop lately. I had taken pictures of Olivia against it months ago and wanted to wait until Kyan was walking to get some of him.
he walks now.
so mommy took pictures.
love how they turned out even with the dirt.
and then i found a new great photo spot too.
behind this church, were 4 rusted out metal chairs and i had to pull the car over.

today was a good day.



on another good note. Girl scout cookies are out in full force here. I love me some samoas and even found this recipe in the local paper. a must try.

i think i have been bit

by the shopping bug that is. i definatly go through spurts of this and i am so in one now.
went thrift store shopping with my neighbor today and found some more felt, ultra suede in hot pink and some old school bingo pieces. can't wait to play with those.

and these bad boy Scallop fabric sheers. i could really do some damage with these. and yet again, Joanns is big on free shipping is you spend 25 dollars. I think i could do that with my eyes closed. I think we have a problem Houston....
not to mention i could spend hours on Ebay. that place is full of everything a girl could ever want or need. or not need for that matter.

whoa..i heard about this from happy girl , went to check it here and before even having the details i was sold.
mini confession....i signed up for a before and never finished the project.
it's ok to put a HUGE *F* by my name. time has just gotten away from me and hopefully this class will too prompt my way past due shimille project #1.

as far as a big confession for the theme of this book...i guess we hold out until we reveal our book huh?

can't wait to round up all my schtuffs and get ready.

17 days away

and dang i can not even describe how good it feels to be home.

I do not want to see an airport and anything travel related for awhile.

WARNING: venting below

first i must say it was great to see so many family members and friends but damn, what were we thinking with two little kids?!? eeks. Colds, crying, food poisoning and so much more drama. we got in way over our heads on this one!

On a Positive note...a huge thanks to Jamie, Amber and MG for the awesome christmas goodies i came home too...wow. I love them all. and can't wait to scrap again REALLY soon. Even if its in between being sick. THanks girls. and i promise as soon as i can i will be pumpin out those CJ's.

so thats just touching base for now and hopefully i'll be back to my old chipper self soon.

whewwwww...deep breath to be home.
